getting this crash on a project, please help:
Hi @Pianoman Apologies for the inconvenience. To regain access to your file, I suggest deleting the “f2 folder” located in your workspace directory. Once you’ve opened the file, please share a screenshot of your preview window with “View Statistics” turned on.
If this file is relatively large, optimizing your scene is strongly recommended. You can do this by:
- Grouping assets into layers and turning off layers that aren’t visible in your current scene, reducing GPU impact.
- Minimizing the use of procedurally generated assets, as these tend to consume significant VRAM resources.
For additional tips on scene optimization, please refer to the link below. How to view and optimize graphics card usage? | User Manual
where should I find the f2 folder ? thank you . P.S. - it opened after a few hours while I was off, did some camera setup on file, closed it manually. Now I want to render over night and I encounter same crash.
With and without vegetation.
But I work on this scene for 2 days with same vegetations and no crash. It did started to crash after I set cameras and I wanted to render.
Hi @Pianoman . Were you able to check the link I shared earlier for tips to optimize your scene? Your current VRAM usage is over 95%, which is significantly high.
If your dedicated GPU memory usage has reached 80% or above, the core advantage of the graphics card has decreased and will be in an unstable state. At this time, D5 may lag or render more slowly, and there may be pop-ups reporting errors or even crashing.
I did followed the instructions. Also, I work organised in layers etc. I had few trees imported from .max wich I think it caused the crashing problem. (from 95 mil face to 12 mil)
My suprise was about this scene, that I had other heavier that worked just fine
No more crash, but now D5 render will not open.
It gets stuck like this forever, even on creating new project:
Hi @Pianoman, Could you please repeat the process of deleting your f2 folder in order to regain access to the file? I would like to review your D5 file. Kindly share it with us at support@d5techs.com and tag Anthony_Forum so we can take a look. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Just sent the e-mail.
The problem now is with new projects, D5 won t open on a new project
