D5 assets offline and with shared iphone 5g download issues

Hello all,
I actually have a D5 education license, working fine thanks for that.
But I have an issue : my internet speed at home is terrible.
For fixing that, I first tried to download offline assets (from a 2020 github) and installed it, but it doesn’t seem to appear in local in the current version of D5.
Next I thought about downloading all the assets via 5G, I upgraded my 4g plan to 5g but no way to connect to the D5 servers trought that. All the other websites working fine.
So, actually I have 3 questions : How to uninstall old useless D5 assets ? Can’t manage to. Is it possible for the D5 team to think about students and other having a really bad internet and create an offline assets pack (even if for using it you will still need to have a working internet on, no issue with that it’s legit). And finally, could you fix de download trought mobile phone internet issue please ? I’m with a french 5g plan in La Reunion Island from the french architecture school of La Reunion. Thank you very much for your hard work and your great app! Have a nice day!

Hi @alskr.archi

Any offline assets that you have downloaded will be considered as “imported models” and will not appear in D5’s official Material Library since this is not from us, and there is no means of downloading online assets separately.

  • These third-party models can be brought to D5 Render by importing them, and after you may need to put them in your local library individually.
  • Uninstalling these assets should be equivalent to deleting the folder they were in.

If users are having trouble connecting to D5 Render via their main network (Wi-Fi or Office Network), part of our troubleshooting process is for them to use Mobile Data via Personal Hotspot; hence, this option should not cause any blocks.

It might be best to check with your Network Provider and inquire if there are some sites that they are restricting. It’s also advisable to look into other possible reasons, such as:

  • DNS Issues
  • VPN or Proxy Issues

Note: You might also want to try to use a VPN on your phone and activate personal hotspot, and see if there are any differences.
