D5 AI Problem 2.10!

Hello,

I’ve been trying to use the AI-powered features in D5 Render, but it keeps getting stuck at the “Waiting for result…” screen with no output. I only tested this issue using the “Vegetation” tab under the AI section — I haven’t tried the other AI tools yet.

Assuming this could be a connectivity or firewall issue, I followed these steps:

  1. I whitelisted the IP addresses you provided through Windows Firewall, both inbound and outbound.
  2. My local IP address: 192.168.0.18
  3. Remote IPs added:
  • 148.153.121.249
  • 148.153.121.178
  1. I confirmed the rules are correctly applied for both local and remote IP communication.
  2. I also tested using a VPN to rule out network restrictions, but the result was the same.
  3. I made sure my system time and time zone settings are synchronized and accurate.
  4. Additionally, I was able to use the AI features successfully on this same computer about 1.5 months ago without any issues, and I haven’t changed any system settings since then.

Despite all of these steps, the AI still doesn’t process any result and remains stuck at the waiting screen. My D5 version is fully up to date. OS: Windows 10.

If log files are required, I’ll be happy to provide them. I’d appreciate your help on this.

Same problem here with version 2.10, the AI remains stuck on “Waiting for result …" despite a good connection. I also configured everything on the firewall and VPN side, without success. I hope a fix comes soon, it’s frustrating.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Were you able to sync your server time? Please try it and let us know of the results.

  • Additionally, are you in a corporate set-up? If so, please ask your IT Department whether there are any blocks on your network. We are very much willing to give our IPs relating to AI for your IT dept. to whitelist them.
