D5 2.11.0.0603 not opening 2.11.0.0600 files

Since the last 2.11.0.0603 update I can’t work on my 2.11.0.0600 files. D5 crashes after opening 5% in one, 19% in another. Windows also doesn’t recognize 0600 files as D5 files anymore.

I’ve already reinstalled D5 and drivers and nothing works. I really need it working ASAP… any ideas?

Hi @fernando1

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please confirm the following:

  • Does this only happen to old files or even with new and empty files?
  • Where were these files located: NAS/Local Storage/Cloud Storage?

If these files are located in NAS or Cloud Storage, try to place them in local storage first. If the issue persists please proceed:

Hi Clov!

The requested files were sent for support@d5techs.com

The problem occurs when opening 2.11.0.0600 files. I just opened a 2.10.1.0579 file without any problem. New files also work well. I work with local files only.

Before this problem happens D5 showed me a warning for fixing a kind of error but I don’t remember the error code. I clicked to fix the error, D5 restarted and didn’t work anymore on 2.10 files. Can it be a TDR error? I really don’t remember.

Thank you.

Hi @fernando1

I can’t think of any other error prompt which has a button or option that links you to the possible solution. I think you’re right regarding the TDR Error prompt.

Anyway, we have received your file and will begin further testing. For now, can you try to rename your f2 folder with another name, perhaps ‘f3’? Then try opening your files again.

hi @Clov .

I didn’t find this f2 folder, but m2 folder:

changing m2 name for m3 or something alse didn’t work also.

thanks

Hi @fernando1

The m2 folder is a different folder located at the same address as the paks file. You need to open the .pak files in order to access the f2 folder. Does it still stay m2 even with this path?

Good morning @Clov .

I found the folder, changed F2 to F3. The problematic file opened once, but collapses when updating the assets. D5 also created the F2 folder again everytime I try to use the program.

Hi @fernando1

Thanks for updating us.

  • Try deleting the f2 and f3 folder then reopen your file > you will be prompted to update the assets

Please let me know if it still crashes after the update.
