I was preparing a file to render when it suddenly crashed. When I click “view history version” the D5 starts loading, gives a DPU RAM spike and then crashes. I managed to open the backup file by renaming it to .drs, but I can’t save it. I had to cancel a presentation meeting.
the project has a large extension and also large areas of forest scatter (which are visible in almost all scenes)
Please refrain from doing this process since this will cause file corruption and errors such as being unable to save the file normally. If the file you were working on was saved successfully, it should appear in the “Recent” Tabs, given that you have logged in to your account.
Can you access the file version history of your file this way? If you can, please open it and save that file normally. That should be your main file now.
