is there a way to control the maps sizes individually? for example this wall
if I change the size of base color map (the graffitti) the brick normal, specular, height etc, all change together

Hi,
for the displacement template, you can’t (for now?) scale the differents maps individually. But you can do it when using the custom template.
the displacement template would be perfect to have individual UVWS, working with graffiti and images painted over bricks and old walls would be much easier
Hi, the question you asked intrigued me. I turned on D5, took a basic shape and gave it the white brick material, then I went to models and in the drop-down menu there was Decals, or I took any graffiti and placed it on the shape where the brick is and this is the result
Then by clicking on the model on the right there is the image of the graffiti, in this case you click on the image of the graffiti that I posted, place your graffiti, you can give it any scale to fit the size of the wall and then give it a bit of transparency To show the wall mapping, place the image as it would appear
I hope I helped you, good work
from what i understood, the displace map is not affecting the image? my point here by using the materials with displacement, like the d5 bricks, i would give that real life feeling of a wall painted
using decal will only overlaps the graffiti on the brick surface, not sure that the parralax effect of D5 “fake” displacement will appears underneath like NOG wants
for example, here the brick should have 25 cm, 30 cm maximum, but i had to stretch the base color map to fit the wall, so the brick size is gigantic
Hi again, you’ve understood the mechanism, now with these graffiti of footballers you just have to place them on the brick wall, that is, if you have the image of these footballers you have to put them on the wall with the brick mapping already so you won’t have a false mapping of the brick, or if you don’t like this you create it with the graphics program you use and synchronize it. I’ll give you an example of what I’ve done before when there was no way to do it.
Look at the image of this rock entrance, it is a PIG image with the transparent base made with Photoshop, imported into the graphics program and I gave it the scale of the image on a panel, as if it were a large tile, you have to do this if you don’t like the other solution.
Or you can do it this way to have intensity of the graffiti with the bricks, copy the roughness of the brick and AO of the brick, insert them by pasting into the model and the opacity to the maximum. this is the result
To adjust the intensity you need to move the graffiti model closer or further away.
thankyou for the help! i will give a try and return with the results!
hi Luna! i know custom templates allow individual UV, but i would like to see the displacement materials with this option as well

Hi, I’ve been having the same problem. I think it would be a great feature.
Thank you for your great work!
This feature is in the plan, but not available in the short term.
