City Import comes without "Height". All is flat

Hello Forum,
I can import whatever I want, but the Landscape is always flat, even high peaks in the mountains. Why?

Thanks in Advance,
Greetings, Peter

Hi @peterdrummer

City Generator excludes the precise topographic map; the data is from OSM.

Thx for your answer Clov, but does that mean, that it´s not possible to get a landscape with the heightmap? If yes, I must consider to return to Lumion :smirk:

Hi @peterdrummer

Have you tried using the terrain? You can import a height map there.

  • You can check this link for the complete instructions: How to use Terrain? | User Manual
  • Although this only applies to the terrain alone, we have yet to add a feature with a city generator that has terrains integrated into it, perhaps in a subsequent release.

Thank you.

Thank you for your answer Clov. Yes of course I worked with the Terrain. But I need the actual Terrain around the site with streets etc.
Yes would be great, if D5 would deliever the same thing as Lumion is doing since years. For me this is a big missing thing in D5.
Same goes for saving Material-Sets. (f. e. Material Set 1: Walls in white, Floor with parquet, Material Set 2: Walls in yellow, Floor with another parquet, etc.)

Hi @peterdrummer

Alright, I also suggest posting this feedback in the Ideas & Requests section since our product team is always checking it. Thank you.
