Facing issue since D5 Render 3.0 now even with latest hot fix update. I am unable to use city generator now. It just says “Resource pack is downloading” but it does not actually download, as you can see from task manager. Stays like this forever, making different selections, changing locations, or changing import filters has no effect.
There is no bandwidth activity. Which means it’s not actually downloading anything at all.
I have logged in and logged out my D5 Pro account.
Restarted computer multiple times
Started with new file
Loaded older projects
I have changed my network settings multiple times, used different wifi and wired networks. Tried different DNS settings. No effect.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. To help isolate the root cause, could you please confirm the following:
Have you run the built-in D5 network test/diagnostic tool? If yes, does it report any timeout, packet loss, or connection failure?
Are you using any antivirus, firewall, endpoint security, or corporate network protection software? If so, have you tried temporarily disabling it and launching D5 as an Administrator?
Have you tried running City Generator while connected to a mobile hotspot? This helps confirm whether the issue is caused by ISP or network-level blocking.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to your response.
I have tried all the steps suggested. These are the results:
The network test ran fine without any error and showed the correct expected speeds.
I have checked, there is no firewall or anything blocking D5Render. In fact all other assets and materials download without any issue. It’s only the City Generator which is not downloading resources at all. I have kept it active for half an hour, the message does not go away. There is no network activity
I have repeated all steps with my mobile hotspot. I have tried 3 different ISP at 3 different physical locations.
Like I said, everything else that requires connectivity works fine. Materials, Assets, AI tools all work online without issue. I am also able to sign in without issue. It is only and specifically the City Generator which is not working. Keeps showing the resource download message. I really don’t want to uninstall and risk losing my settings and presets. When the City Generator was first introduced it worked fine. But during recent updates, it has stopped working altogether.
Thank you for the clarification. I will send you a list of required IPs/domains privately. Please ask your IT team to whitelist them, then restart D5 and test the City Generator again. Let me know if the issue persists.
