Check for update button

Hello , this is my second time that i dont get the update window pop up when i open D5 render . I request making a button in the welcome screen that checks for new updates because the automatic detection doesnt work for me. it happened with 2.8 and now with 2.9

so i think that update button is really necessary

Hi @AnasArchViz we’re really sorry about the update issue. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection as you launch D5 Render to enable automatic update notification. You can also restart your router and log in with your personal account (for team users) to receive the update notification.

Please note that the Teams version is still under the grayscale release for now. Thanks

it’s never about stable internet connection. it’s like D5 doesn’t like updating in some systems. for past 9 month I had to download full package everytime. and now I want the hotfix for 2.9 but the package is not updated, and I can’t do anything. please add check for update.

nah it’s okay, I actually do live in a region with a lot of limitation on network. so, I guess my ISP provider does have some issues with it. the last update notification I received was 2.6.x as I recall. and after that, especially when 2.7 dropped, I went for full packages.
this is literally the weirdest thing I see in d5. I mean I can download everything in asset library, have no problem using internet, but my D5, won’t look for updates. here is my log file.

Hey, can you tell someone to upload 2.9.1 package to site…? please!

Hi @DynamicRenderLabs, version 2.9.1 has not been released officially therefore it cannot be download directly from the website at this time. Please are you facing any challenges with your current D5 version?

oh, I saw the release note at 14th, and I thought it’s out! so, it’s good then!
not much problem, but when you use D5 alongside Rhino, or Max, with View switch on, when you orbit in the other software, and cross “+y” axis or while you try to orbit facing “-y” axis, there is this big jump! very annoying! I’ve attached a video showing it. I’m seriously hoping it’s fixed in 2.9.1

Hi @DynamicRenderLabs, sorry for the inconvenience. Ensure your live sync version is up to date. Please may I know the version of the live sync plugin you have installed.

of course. I’m using last one on both. 1.1.0 for rhino and 1.2 for 3Ds max.

Hi @DynamicRenderLabs we are aware of the issue with the sync plugin, we will fix it as soon as possible in the coming 2.9 Hotfix. Thank you
