Another solution, how about making your own carpets. You probably know various companies that have floors or carpets.
I agree. Having a few basic rugs – round, rectangular and with finished edges – would be nice. The ones I used from 3DWarehouse tend to be very flat. I tried making my own to moderate success.
I see a few comments here and there that say one can just get models and textures from other sources or adjust the D5 assets like TVs to suit one’s needs. However, since D5 is offering so many assets, it would be great if they provided the basics – TVs with black screens, curtains that are static, a few rugs, wood with straight grain, bronze metals, etc. The basics are building blocks for a good rendering. I agree, for specialized items, brands, etc, one should expect to procure those themselves since D5 cannot provide everything.
