CAR in Car path are not smooth

HI guys i have another question ( bug)

When using cars with paths, I noticed that they are not running smoothly in version 2.9, in version 2.8 they were very smooth

the video is attached is on low quality (i rendered in 4k but have the same problem)

edit: ive found another post with the same problem, i created another path but the problem persists

I apologize for the inconvenience. I have tried to recreate the issue using the Demo Scene and inserted a Car path. It doesn’t seem to have the same problem as you have experienced.

  • Can you perhaps let me know the relevant steps for this?
  • Or which car assets were used?

hi, i have watched video carefully and noticed, all cars heading straight stops and jerks at specific area (that red color crossing) . check car path, is there any node point at that area of path. im pretty sure its issue of path node.
please check and inform any progress.

hi @visualplus thankyou for you insight! my path was one straight line without a node. What I noticed is that the car path had the ‘DROP’ activated, and the red stripe was 0.01 above the asphalt level, causing a bit of the problem.

@clovisbolasco14 I noticed that the cars now seem to slide over the asphalt, previously we had the RATE button to match the rotation of the wheels with the movement of the cars but i cant find it anymore. Was it removed?

We did not remove this feature. You can access the “Rate” parameter in “Video” preview mode. However, please note that this will only modify the individual vehicle asset, not the entire path.
