I have two projects and accidentally changed the camera in one of them. Despite identical values for position, rotation, FOV, etc.,
I cannot get the cameras to match.
Why isn’t there a camera object (like lights and other assets) that you can export or save locally and load into the other project file? Just the camera!
Is there another way to make the cameras in the two projects absolutely
identical?
Thanks and best regards,
Mike
At the moment, D5 Render does not support exporting or saving a camera as a standalone object that can be imported into another project. Cameras cannot currently be transferred the same way as lights or assets.
Could you please confirm:
Are both projects using the exact same model file and origin point?
Were they imported or synced using the same workflow (e.g., LiveSync)?
Are there any differences in projection mode or environment settings between the two scenes?
As a workaround, try merging the two projects to transfer cameras, or resync the same camera view from the original modeling software into both projects to ensure alignment. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
I managed to get it to work with the “merge” option,
even though you have to fiddle around with the lighting and asset placements again.
A real camera object would be more than welcome for an upcoming update!
