I have inserted a camera into my project. I also have scenes that I don’t use (see screenshot).
When I save the project, close it and reopen it, the position of the inserted camera changes to that of the scene. This is annoying if you have set a nice perspective in the camera.
There is another problem. The camera can be locked. You can then no longer change the view with the WASD keys. That’s good. But the camera can still be changed with the 3D mouse. This should also be locked.
I apologize for the inconvenience. Before we proceed, I need some important information to fully understand the issue. Firstly, is this the first time you’ve encountered this problem, particularly when it comes to closing and reopening your project and noticing a significant camera inconsistency compared to before you closed the file? Does this issue occur in all your files or just one?
Regarding the ability to move the camera using a 3D mouse, your feedback is valuable and we would like to improve this in future updates. You can also share your suggestions at the following link: Ideas & Requests - D5 RENDER FORUM
Thanks for your answer. I have just created a simple project. A simple surface and a sphere. Then I inserted the camera using “insert>camera”. See image 1.
After saving and closing D5, I reloaded the project. The position of the camera has changed. See image 2.
I repositioned the camera and created a scene. After saving and closing, the camera takes the position of the camera from the scene. See image 3.
There is clearly an error here. I would be happy if the D5 team could correct this. Thank you in advance
I created a sample scene as you did and set up two cameras: cam_A (top) and cam_B (front). After that, I recorded each camera placement, saved the file, and closed D5 Render. When I reopened D5 and reloaded the sample scene, I couldn’t reproduce the issue on my end. Could you please send your two files to support@d5techs.com for testing and a thorough investigation?
