Hi! This is the first time something happens to any of my projects. Everything is ok but some edges that get non-uniform highlighted when it shouldn’t even get any highlight.
I tried rotating HDRI, sun, using another HDRI, using Geo and Sky, getting up and down lights values, but theres always some edge that get this problem.
Is this only evident on this specific file? Perhaps, did you check if there is a material inside that has an emissive value?
You may also share with us this particular D5 Render file so we can also test it on our end if the issue is evident. You can send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled ‘Clov-Forum Building Edge Highlight Problem’
I have solved it a couple of minutes ago. The problem was the local shadow and highlight exposure. Above certain values—around 0.15–0.2—those light artifacts would appear. After adjusting every parameter in the Effects window, I confirmed that those were the only settings causing the issue. It’s also true that this is the first time I’ve encountered anything like this; I suppose it’s due to the specific characteristics of the HDRI I’m using, and so on.
Thank you anyway and I hope this helps people that encounter the same kind of problem!
