Avoir plus de realisme

Bonjour à toutes et tous.
Voici le dernier essai tout frais avec Sketchup + D5 render.
Mais il me manque en du réalisme pour arriver à faire ce que je veux.
Est ce que quelqu’un a une idée ?
Merci

Pierre

What do you feel is lacking? Are you saying you want more realism?

Digital translation: Selon vous, qu’est-ce qui vous manque? Êtes-vous en train de dire que vous voulez plus de réalisme?

  1. Try a 2d person or no person at all. The 3d people for all of their variety look uncanny/fake.

  2. You have a very dramatic light coming from the windows. Light most of your scene from the window and use as little artificial light as possible.

  3. Alas the 5D Render curtains. The texture is nice but the unadjustable fabric scale is not. It’s too big. And the curtain hem is missing. Try a solid drapery where you can adjust the scale of the fabric texture.

  4. You have some visible repetition in the wall pattern. Maybe enlarge the scale just a bit. Unfortunately D5 doesn’t yet have a way to randomize the pattern.

  5. Each glass pane has a curious glowing quality about it at the edges. Do you know why that is? It’s throwing off the realism.

Your feedback is so helpful !
I’m trying to create Transparent sheen material for Curtains as I’m struggling with it !

Thank you. I hope it helps Pierre.

I have had little success with any of the D5 translucent fabric material assets and material templates – cloth, foliage, mesh – and like you I have experienced pixelation when the fabric was in front of a dark background. Have you tried relying on the fabrics in your modeling program? I had some success removing pixelation when I used a mesh fabric from Revit.

Also I read somewhere that if one adjusts the normal map, one might be able to reduce pixelation, though I have not tried that myself.

I thought this problem was only for me but it’s common, I hope they fix this soon.
I’ll use Cloth material instead of sheen till finding the proper workaround for it

Yes, this is the best I’ve been able to create so far:

Changing the Normal from -1 to 1 doesn’t do anything btw. However, I did notice that odd circular shapes in the curtain texture would lessen if Specular was set to zero. You can see those odd shapes in the lower left quadrant. I did not set Specular to zero when I made this image.

Hello, we will update some adjustable static curtain models, and also, the issue that things behind curtains lose their colors will be fixed.

Thank you, Oliver, I’d been asking about this issue and sent you and the D5 support team my model to see if there was any problem on my end with my computer setup. Has anyone checked my model?

There are so many translucency issues with assets in D5 whether they are glass or fabric. They overly pixelate, contain odd shapes and react in unreal, artificial ways when items are seen beyond them.

Hi Jeffrey, we recently launched a new project focusing on the issues you mentioned (translucent material issues and unclear rendering result), and I will keep you updated with this, thanks very much~

Thank you!
