Can the axis of grouped objects still be adjusted? In my example, I have the vase. Its axis is on the bottom. After grouping just the vase, the axis remains on the bottom. That’s good. But as soon as I add something to the group, the axis changes. That’s not good. Now I can save the vase with the flowers locally. But when I insert it, it is no longer positioned correctly on the surfaces (e.g. table) because the axis is wrong. Can the automatic change of the axis be prevented or changed manually back to “bottom”?
Thank you. I did that (with “Sync Pivot”). My vase has the same position of the axes as in my 3D program. If I now group just the vase everything stays fine. But if I add the flowers to the group the axis changes. And I can’t change that anymore. Or is there a solution for that?
Why does D5 adjust the axes of the objects at all? These are all created in external 3D programs. And here the axes are already set the way you want them. So there is no need to change the axes automatically with D5.
It would be better if the axes were always taken from the original. And only if you need it you could adjust it with the “move axes to the middle” option.
At the moment I have to adjust the axes with “Sync Pivot” for almost every inserted object that I have created. Sorry, but that is really annoying.
Hello. Thank you for your suggestion. I think your problem can only be solved by Sync Pivot for now. But we will take note of your needs and may improve the axis in the future.
