Auto Exposure takes about 1 minute to adjust after re-entering interiors

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing a strange issue with D5 Render and I’m wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

When I’m inside my model, then move outside for just a moment, and go back inside, the entire scene becomes heavily overexposed.

The problem is that it now takes about one minute for the exposure to return to the correct level. A few months ago, this adjustment was almost instantaneous—it only took about a second for the lighting to match my saved settings again.

I haven’t intentionally changed any auto exposure settings, and this behavior only started happening in the last few months.

I’ve attached a few screenshots to show the issue.

Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be caused by a recent update, a bug, or is there a setting I should check?

This is expected behavior. D5’s auto exposure uses gradual adaptation to prevent flickering, but since you’ve mentioned that the previous versions instantly adjusted the exposure upon entering your model, then I think it would be best for us to investigate this issue further.

Can you please confirm if this also occurs to other files or is it only specific to this one? If possible, you may send us this file for us to see if the issue is consistent.
