Are AMD users finding it somewhat more inconvenient to use?

My system specs are:

  • CPU: AMD 7500F
  • RAM: DDR5 16GB
  • GPU: RX 7600 with 8GB VRAM

When working on a project involving a 3 square kilometer apartment complex, I notice that the CPU, VRAM, and memory all hit full load just during the loading phase. At some point, the program crashes due to VRAM shortage when rendering a shot. To prevent this, I close all other programs except for D5 when creating rendering shots. Also i can’t use

Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue? I know my system isn’t top of the line, But i’ve never faced this kind of problem with other rendering programs even lumion.

Hello @Jake_K

thanks for reaching out.

AMD and Nvidia offer a wide variety of GPUs, each with pros and cons, and the performance depends on the specific model and parameters of the graphics card.

Do you run all scene files like this, or specific files? How about running D5 demo files? When you run that file, how much RAM & VRAM was taken? Please also ensure sufficient space in the location of the project files and the C drive.

Please also show me the screenshot of this system info.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

I have followed all the instructions you mentioned and attached a photo. After formatting the computer, I only ran D5 Render, and all drivers for the components are updated to the latest version.

However, I encountered the following error message, and the program shut down:

“Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. Exiting…”

The program runs fine on another computer with the following specs:

Hello @Jake_K,

thanks for the updates.

Too much video memory or memory usage may cause D5 to crash frequently or display the ‘out of memory’ error pop-up.

If D5 crashes only when running specific scenes, it is most likely that the file is too heavy and overloaded, resulting in a memory outage.

Based on your comparisons, I presume that the main problem with your AMD device is insufficient memory(RAM). Could you please show me this page of your AMD device when running that scene file?

In this case, I’d like to suggest you clean up your computer or set up the virtual memory. How to view and optimize memory usage? | User Manual (d5render.com)
