Hi, I’m exporting my Archicad Model with the plugin to a D5A file, but when I import on D5 Render, the textures I’ve created on archicad are totally white. If I sync the model directly, all textures are fine.
Hi Gabriellegpa
I have never used to save the 3D in D5A and then open it with the rendering program, I have always used the Plugin inserted in Archicad. In this case I didn’t have any kind of problems with the Textures, only in an archicad quadri object where there are images of some painting I had to explode the object because you know it couldn’t read the texture of the painting of the art painting. So by exploding you know that it becomes Form, but the textures separate and go into the Archicad Surfaces.
Having said this, it is better for you to design in Archicad, when your work is finished, ‘it usually never happens’, you open D5 with New, give it your settings, then synchronize it with your 3D, when you have done this, it is loaded everything, go to D5 and save it with the project name. Once this is done you can work on it by synchronizing with Archicad Files.
PS: Always remember when you work on a project always make the work folder naming the project you are carrying out and when you save the files in D5 name it with the same name as the Archicad files, so every time you open it it always synchronizes without creating other files , so it will not increase the GB of memory.
I usually use the sync plugin, but I intended to export some views of my file with different combination/layers/ renovation filter/different sections and that’s not possible with the sync, they only sync one model.
for a section instead you can do with archicad and synchronize or use the command on D5, you will have a perspective section and a section if you go to View
