Hi there, there is no definitive time yet, but for sure we will let you know when D5 Livesync for Archicad 28 will come out. Thank you.

Hey Clovis,

I noticed you said “if” rather than “when”. Can we expect a plugin at somepoint?

Thanks

Hi, sorry for the grammatical error on my part :bowing_man:. D5 will certainly support Archicad 28, and we are working on it. Thank you

of course they will do, do you know archicad, with revit are the biggest architectural software in the world !!! Of course, there is release date, and we need to know it, we are not using archicad as a hobby, we need a professional answer !

I apologize for not being able to give a definite time for the release. We do understand the urgency of such a plug-in, and rest assured, we are currently working on it. Thank you. :bowing_man: :bowing_man:

Is there any news on the release date of the plug-in? I urgently need it, and I don’t think I’m the only one

You’re not the only one!!

I also support updating the plugin for Archicad 28. But I have little hope of it happening soon, given the huge delay in the release of version 2.9

Hi @rcecostruzioni @arqpatricio.bernarde @danielpaes , I sincerely apologize for the delay rest assured the team is working on it.

Hello,
We are really impressed with how D5render is evolving, and would like to congratulate it
for that. On the other hand, the time that every year it takes to have the Archicad Add-on updated is probably the most frustrating aspect of D5R for any office that uses Archicad as the main software.
Why not start developing the Add-on before the new Archicad release as other competitors do? They all have the Archicad plugin available on the day the new Archicad is released.

The last plugin for Archicad was released in January 2024. I believe that we will only have the plugin for AC28 from January 2025.

I think it is important that this plugin already incorporates the Live sync system and the export function to d5a file while maintaining the group structure info, to enable the use of the phasing animation tool.

Hello Daniel Paes,

I understand your point, but please consider that every year Archicad gets updated in late September/ beginning of October. (This year Archicad 28 was available 2nd October)
Every year, D5Render doesn’t work for Archicad users for several months.

The options are to pay Archicad renewal and start using it 3/4 months later or, to keep the previous Archicad version installation, save the project to that previous version every time we need to link to D5render, both options simply don’t make any sense.

A yearly D5render subscription for an Archicad user represents paying 12 months, but not being able to use it around 1/4 of the time (from october to January).

Right now, both Lumion and Enscape have updated their add-ons (Lumion was available on 2nd October, if I am not mistaken)

Any developer and even beta tester users will have access to the latest release of Archicad months before it comes out, so, wouldn’t it be a good idea for d5Render to start scheduling the release of its Archicad add-on according to this calendar?

I speak for our office. Every year we decide which render software to use.
We subscribe one solution according to the type and amount of ongoing projects.
That is why we haven’t subscribed D5render for more than one year now:

  1. It is never available when we update our Archicad, so if we need to produce images at that time we end up investing in another solution.
  2. if we subscribe for 1 year we will not be able to use it for several (paid) months

In conclusion, yes it would be great if d5Render add-on for Archicad would already allow the phasing function but, not being able to use any function because we end up investing in another solution is way worse.

Please understand, my frustration is because we would like to use d5Render.
