Hi everyone! I’ve run into the following issue — blurry animation quality. When I rendered still images, everything looked great. Then I decided to make animations, rendered a .png sequence in 1080p at 60fps, and got what you can see in screenshots 1 and 2 — a blurry car with no clear reflections, and the wheels look like complete mush.
I’m using version 2.11, SR is disabled in the widgets, and I’ve attached screenshots of my settings. Could someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Hi @cool.kiva55
Have you tried increasing the resolution? Please try to do a 2k or 4k animation sequence then see if the results are the same.
Let me know of the results, if issue persists, I may need to collect your file for testing.
Yesterday I was experimenting with different resolutions — rendered in 1080p (scr1) and 2K (scr2), but the result is still blurry. Then I decided to render a still image in 1080p (scr3), and it looks much better than the animation. Basically, I’ve tried everything. My PC can’t handle 4K animation, and I don’t really need it anyway — 2K should be perfectly sharp.
Is it normal that an animation looks worse than a still render at the same resolution?
My settings:
I have a theory that the blurriness might be caused by the car model itself (I downloaded it from Sketchfab), but all the materials are set up in D5. Could that be the reason?
Hi @cool.kiva55
Currently, there is a known issue regarding the difference in output in video render vs still image render.
- I don’t think the imported 3d Model car is at fault unless the model is not properly made or has already had deformities, even in opening with other software. As long as you have modified its materials using the online library, that’s fine.
- Does disabling Super Resolution, FPS Booster, and Supersampling improve the quality?
If you’re willing to send us your files, you may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled Clov-Forum Animation Quality Problem
Does it make afffect on render quality? I thought it was to optimize work in the viewport
Not as significant as the D5 SR Widget, and there are some known issues which, in some cases, if some of these options are enabled, it will result into something unnatural.
