Align 2 objects - align option greyedout

Hi there,

I’m trying to follow this tutorial to align 2 differents objects from 3dfiles : a ground and the 3d model.

Unfortunatly when I select them both in order to align them, i didn’t see the option. its greyed out.

Both objets are unlock… I don’t get it…

possible that you have sync with rhino on?

Hi @charles.collin.2

How are these objects brought to D5 Render? Is it through the D5a converter via the plug-in? Or did you use the Livesync?

  • after the objects with group structure exported by D5-3ds Max converter are imported to D5, the feature of align/sync coordinates would be unavailable.

They are imported from rhino

  • first object is imported via D5 plugin in rhino (so livesync i guess)
  • second object is imported independantly (.3dm file) inside D5

@3d-ontwerp-visualisa, I make sure Rhino is off, so livesync too, but still the issue persist

thanks,
CC

Hi @charles.collin.2

Try selecting the objects, the Align tool can be used after that.

  • As for the object brough to D5 via Livesync, please switch to Non-Livesync mode to activate Align
