hi
i export from max Max an animation of a forklift using alembic with a length of 1000 frames. After I imported the model with the animation to d5, the d5 is very heavy. Not to mention the video I want to make - the scene barely moves. I have a 4090 graphics card with the latest drivers. what is the solution
thanks
Hello @sgi
Apologies for this issue have caused you. Please consider optimizing your files. Could you provide me with some screenshots of your entire file while running that in D5, see the attached image below for the sample VRAM usage of your file.
Thank you
thanks. Attached is another screenshot. The ram reaches very high values and the fps is about low. Don’t know why this is happening. I have 64 gb ram
Apologies if I’m not clear about my instructions. I want to see your forklift inside your scene. Please provide me with the VRAM usage of that file. See the attached sample photo for your guide. Has this issue happened before? Would it be possible to adjust the frame length of your file?
Thank you
I tried with a simpler model with less polygons and less textures and it works much better. thanks
Hello there.
we have the same problem hee. In the last version we could import alembic obj like car with 400mb and works very fine and more that one.
right now its impossible to import an alembic car with 30mb that slows down no only the D5 but also the all computer. this happen with any alembic object import.
This impossible to work. We have diferent computers with 4090 and 128gb Ram and its happend the same thing, so the problem probably its about the latteste version of D5.
Please fix this soon as possible because everyone wants to create animated things without any problem.
Thank you for pointing this out. Rest assured that our team will investigate this concern thoroughly.
Your support and understanding of D5 render are highly appreciated
Hi there,
What’s your exact D5 version (current and last one)?
Whether it works fine for current D5 to import other .d5a/.fbx format files?
If the problem only exists with abc, can you sendan abnormal abc file to support@d5techs.com for testing? Please attach a link to this post in the email, so I can quickly find you. Thanks!
