The engawa concept embodies a key idea in Japanese design: the blurring of boundaries between inside and outside. It’s not fully interior, not fully exterior—more of an in-between zone where you can sit, observe the garden, feel the breeze, or watch the rain without being exposed to it.
This project reinvented it in a modern way. It is located in in southern part of Chile.
Any critic and comments are greatly apreciated.

Hi s.bernard,
I like the video, it’s well-crafted.

Here are a few ideas from me.
The sound of the waves and the cries of the seagulls
are too loud and too frequent, I would remove them entirely.
The video is a bit too long.
The perspective should be changed more often,
for example, between close-up and wide shots.
Variations in the animation’s movement would
make the video feel more lively.
I would incorporate speed ramping from one
point of view to another.

I hope you take these comments as they’re meant—
as well-intentioned food for thought.

I actually like the video as it is right now.

Bye
Andreas
