Workflow with multiple Skp users and Dropbox

Hi all, we Use D5 Render on 2 different platform, one being my PC whose storing SKP and D5/drs files online on a shared Dropbox folder, the other is using D5 render through Shadow PC, which is also accessing the shared Dropbox folder, however we find it very tricky to work together, we share the same d5 account, for Our sketchup file, it is usually manipulated by only 1 person at a time to avoid copies by Dropbox (and desync from d5).
there has been cases where I could work on my skp file open and live sync to d5, everything works well and normal, after finishing my work I save both the Skp and drs file onto the Shared Dropbox folder. then would try to reopen on the other computer (shadow PC) the same skp file and sync with d5, just to get interrupted by a prompt from d5 render to replace and link the same SKP model, from there it gets random as sometimes everything run smooth or, I would lose all applied materials and Environment presets saved earlier.
we would like to optimize the workflow but don’t know how,I have read on another post that the save path needed to have folders written in English, which is the case for us, yet we still lose applied materials or environments.
We pay attention to:
-save skp and d5 files
-wait for the files to sync on Dropbox
-never work at the same time on the same file
-we tried opening only the drs file without sketchup =same result
-we replace and link skp model when asked.

I feel like running out of option and only work on 1 machine, but it’s not convenient.

Hi there. I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. We currently have not optimized this kind of workflow, wherein the .drs file/folder is opened through cloud storage such as Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.; this is usually the case if it is accessed that way. You may need to download the D5 Folder and Sketchup from Dropbox and store them locally. In that way, you won’t lose the materials and assets.

Also, if you came across this link: D5 Account Supports Integrated Dropbox Account | User Manual or have read that D5 Render has begun integrating Dropbox. The Dropbox integration was recently introduced in D5 Teams, but it only supports asset sharing or these file formats: .skp, .fbx, .d5a, .3dm and .abc. Perhaps we can optimize this integration further in future releases and even introduce it in the non-team subscription. Thank you so much for your understanding
