Workflow between Revit, Rhino, Speckle and D5

Hi everyone,

Has anyone established a reliable workflow between Revit, Rhino, Speckle, and D5?

My current process:

  • I develop the primary model in Revit.
  • I push the Revit model to Rhino via Speckle to run design studies.
  • I use Rhino as my main hub for creating visuals and rendering.

I am trying to integrate D5 Render into this setup. I started applying materials directly in D5 and adjusting the texture mapping within Rhino. However, every time I receive and load a new model commit from Speckle, all of my texture mapping information gets completely lost.

Does anyone have a workaround for this mapping issue, or a better workflow recommendation for combining these four tools?

Thanks in advance!

hi, generally, it is like this:
model and material information are synchronized to Render, then assign a new material B (or adjust material parameters) in Render.
if the material name remains unchanged in DCC, the Render retains the effect of B;
if a new material C is given in DCC(the material name changes), it will be sent to Render as a new material, and it will display the effect of material C in Render
