Vectorworks livesync version mismatch

I am having a version mismatch with the D5 livesync plugin inside Vectorworks. I am using VWX 2025 Update 7 and installed LiveSync plugin version 1.1.1.0035. However, the plugin inside vwx is showing 1.1.1.0024

I have used the installer from these forums, as well as the installer built into Vectorworks, and they both give me version mismatches. Also, when I use the installer inside vectorworks, it shows that 1.1.1.0035 is installed, but the plugin within the program still says 1.1.1.0024.

Hi @wellebracht

I tried it on my end, and it shows the latest version of the plug-in that I just recently installed.

  • Try completely uninstalling this plug-in so you can cleanly reinstall a new one.
  • You may also try installing it via the D5 Launcher

I uninstalled all instances of LiveSync and tried installing it through the launcher, but still get the same issue. I even uninstalled VWX and reinstalled but the plugin is always showing 1.1.1.0024 for me

Hi @wellebracht

Please check if there is a D5LiveSyncForVectorWorks.vlb in this file path:

  • Delete it if there is, then reinstall it.
  • We tried installing VWX 2025 Update 7 on our end, and the Livesync Plug-in information is correct.

Please let us know of the results.

I have done that and I am still showing the version mismatch issue. I’m gonna try and reinstall VWX to see if that helps

Alright. Let me know.

Ok, so Reinstalling VWX did not fix it, however I found the root problem:

I don’t use a regular license for Vectorworks, I am a part of a company that has a license server that we check licenses in and out from. Apparently, there is a separate software called Reprise that dumps some license files into your computer when you check things in and out that can mess with VWX, and these files do not get touched when you uninstall or install Vectorworks using their Install Manager (which is super dumb).

So, I had to find the files on my computer, delete the license references, and then reinstall VWX, and now everything is working!

Hi @wellebracht

Thanks for letting us know!
