I want to highlight something that’s not just a feature request — it’s a real production need.
My entire workflow is based on D5 Pro, and it has been working great for most of my projects. However, recently I got a project in my company that required photomatching with real drone images (placing the 3D model accurately into actual site photos).
At this point, my workflow completely broke, because D5 currently doesn’t offer a proper photomatching solution. I had to switch to Lumion just for this part, which disrupted the whole pipeline.
Photomatching is not a “nice-to-have” anymore — it’s essential for real-world archviz, especially when working with drone footage and real site integration.
I strongly suggest the D5 team consider adding a dedicated photomatching feature (camera matching, perspective alignment, background image calibration, etc.).
This would make D5 a complete solution and remove the need to jump between different software.
Hope this gets attention, because this is something many of us actually need in real projects.
