Title: Revit 2026 Model Imports as One Object – Can't Separate by Material in D5

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue importing my model from Revit 2026 into D5 Render.

After importing, the entire model comes in as one single object, and I’m unable to separate or select elements by material inside D5. This makes it really difficult to assign different materials or make changes.

I’ve tried exporting through different methods (including FBX and D5 LiveSync), but the result is the same — everything appears as one mesh, without any material-based grouping.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a proper workflow or export setting from Revit that allows materials to be preserved and separated correctly in D5?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @zhen-zhang

The model’s material should be separated in Revit prior to syncing to D5 and if you have already done that, try using the Material Picker (shortcut “I”) and see if each surfaces/material are differentiated.
