Texture mapping issue from rhino

Hello,

There a new issue i have recently encountered where D5 is not recognizing texture mapping from rhino. Below is a screenshot of both my rhino and d5 screen while live synced and you can see the mapping (of a custom alpha map) to achieve a perf panel is not being recognized in d5. It is a box mapping in rhino.

Sorry for the inconvenience. May I ask which version of Rhino and which version of the D5 Rhino LiveSync plugin you’re currently using? D5 has limited support for some Rhino texture-mapping types, especially box mapping and custom alpha maps, so these may not always transfer correctly through LiveSync.

In the meantime, here are a few things you can try:

  • If you’re using Rhino 8, please try saving the file in Rhino 7 format, as mapping from Rhino 8 often doesn’t carry over properly.
  • Try manually adjusting the UV/mapping inside D5 after syncing.
  • You can also export your model as an FBX instead of relying on LiveSync, which tends to preserve mapping better.
