**Description of the work:

Hi there,
the scene was a file in .fbx format.
I bought it to practice in D5.
What struck me while working with this scene.

Currently (2.1) it is unfortunately not possible
Make changes to the geometry in D5 Render.
For this reason, errors in the material assignment can unfortunately be avoided
not rectify.
For example, have the ceiling spotlights and the spoon on the dining table
the same material.
In the future it would be desirable to give the spoon in D5 Render a new material!

A kind of material management in D5 would be desirable for the future.

Unfortunately, no parts (e.g. a chair) can be moved in D5.
This would also be desirable for the future.

I am delighted with the quality of the finished images.
D5 delivers great results!

bye
Andreas

I’ll try to explain how I understood the philosophy of the D5.

If you import a complete apartment like your example directly into the D5 as fbx format, if it is so, then you’re right, you really can’t do anything. Except assign other material from D5 or insert object from Assets.

If you import your files (transmutr) via Sketchup or Revit etc.
then all changes and shifts are after that
synchronization are updated. Then you have your solution.

Next possibility. You import individual objects directly into the D5.
For example: table or chair etc. then you can move, not change. But you can save as
an object in Assets Local.

If you draw exact room shape or houses you do in Revit or Sketchup etc.
and also those objects that have to be placed exactly.
Only the individual parts that don’t have to be changed can only be moved, for example: pictures, flowers and furniture, etc. I take from the assets local that you saved before.

Therefore it makes no sense to be able to make changes to the geometry in D5 Render, as well as adjust material. You do the material assignment in revit or sketchup etc.
For example, give your spoon and the ceiling spotlights the same group material or color.

Your feature request is therefore not possible. If objects have no material or all the same, d5 cannot assign differentiating materials.

I hope it already fulfills some of your wishes.
Of course I don’t know everything, maybe someone knows more or better than I tried to explain :grinning:.
