Sun position not syncing from SketchUp 2025

According to the documents, the time and date should be transferred from the SketchUp scene setup to D5 to give the correct position of the sun. This is not happening for me. I have the latest versions of the software and the sync plugin.
Also the function that D5 automatically should adjust for daylight saving time is not working. I have to set both geographic position and time and date manually for each scene (and it calculates the sun position of standard time throughout the year).

Anyone else having the same experience, or a way to get this to work?

Hi @kss

If you have the latest version, you should have this icon “Sync Solar Position”

Yes, I have seen the button, but it did nothing.
However - I think I found the cause. I need to have the shadows checkmarked in SketchUp. I never do, because it makes working in SketcUp terribly slow, even with a very decent graphics card.
Thank you for trying to help.

Alright, thanks for your update.

I really don’t want to have to have Sketchup shadows turned on for this to work as it makes Sketchup almost unuseable. Please can you alter this asap Clov?

Hi @3DG

We will consider your requests. Thanks for pointing it out.
