Hello, I plan to be a regular user of D5 and will use this post to make regular suggestions with respect to assets I would like to see in the future. My firm regularly designs residential interiors and certain items can be very useful in making a scene look more realistic. Even if an item seems insignificant, if it is common to a room such as a kitchen or washroom, then the eye may expect to see it… I was shocked several items were not available despite the large D5 asset library.
As I have been working on several kitchen designs, I would like to see the following items at this time:
-countertop style paper towel holder
-serviette (napkin) holder
-hand soap dispenser
-wine bottle
-floor mat (small carpet usually seen near sink area)
-instant coffee maker (pod style)
-plates (more options for stacked plates)
-glasses (more options for grouped and single cups/glasses)
I appreciate any consideration for the proposed items. Thank you.
hello, I understand that it would be very convenient to have them in the library, but you can find many of that type of object on 3dsky for free. You just import them into d5 fbx format and save them to your local library once textured and you always have them.
Yes indeed, it would be exceptionally convenient. However, searching for, downloading, testing, applying textures, and sometimes spending $ for them in the first place, all uses up precious resources I would prefer to avoid. Although, I appreciate your suggestion and I will possibly source models from 3dsky in the future. Thank you.
Syncronia, and Bim Object are also good options for anyone else out there searching for 3d models and/or textures.
