I think it would be great to have a library of sound effects that we could place throughout our model in 3D space . Each sound could be an object that you place in space , for example bird sounds if you were outside . Once these sound objects are placed , we could adjust radius of the sound . That way it would be very easy to create really nice cinematic videos with ambient sounds . The closer you were to a sound object , the louder it would be and as you go away from it , it could gradually fade to no sound . Lumion has a similar sound library in their program but it’s not a lot . I think this would be so cool for enhancing the experience of videos . Some examples of sounds could be running water, birds chirping , crickets for nighttime , seagull sounds , room ambient sounds , fire crackling sounds for fireplaces . See the following link for the sound effect library they have in Lumion:
For me it’s useless, I’ve never used it.
It’s so much more efficient to do it in your video editing software, with its infinite library.
I’ve been using additional software to currently do it . I was talking to other users and they showed an interest in it so I decided to put in a request . I think sounds would come in handy if you wanted to do live walkthroughs or very quick video exports . Plus if it gets to the point where D5 exports 360 video for VR, having those sounds integrated would be handy .
