I think it would be nice if a brush record has a single ID color instead of every object in the brush having a different color.
This would help a lot in post-production, for example Photoshop, where you can select by color .

Hi Bruce, see the image below. I mean when you want to select specific elements of your image (by using the magic wand tool in PS e.g), and adjust them individually.
In the screenshot above, I would like to select the green roofs of the buildings, so that I can change the color/contrast a little. But since every object in this scatter brush has its own color, it’s nearly impossible to make a clean selection. Same for the plants a little higher on the image. I like to make individual adjustments to these different elements in my images.
I don’t know if this is an unusual approach or not, but it certainly helps to have more control in post!
