I once made a video with D5 render and SU “Beach and Sea”.
Maybe it will help you. Give me a message,
if you want to know how to do it.

Can you guide me to the tutorial?
Hi! Hoping the next release version must try to do additional effects for water like foamy accumulating from the edges to make it more natural and realistic. Thanks
Also automatic wake for boats. Or as a 3d asset.
Thank you for your advice!
we need some thing like this for a lot of projects … hope that

Thank you again. We will improve the water performance.

Any update about ocean material?
is there any updates aout this? thank you
Hi there,
Is there a possibility to add roughness option to water material ?
For large scale water like a sea or a lake, I achieve better results with custom material and normal maps than with water material. The only thing is that water doesn’t move in that case which is bad for animation… and we don’t have all the transparency and depth settings too.
Here are screen shots of the 2 cases with material settings on the side.
Thanks D5 team !
(If we could have foam assets or decals video assets too we could achieve awesome seascape results, but that is discussed in another topic too)
The worst water ever.
It is impossible to achieve the look on those ref below with the current water material options. A roughness slider option would definitely help.
D5 Needs a water emulator, Lakes, pools and sea cannot use a ( texture ) if you have serious purposes. Waves, foam, maybe splashes…are needed. Beach, ocean, with maybe some real settings.
Exclude objects from snow and rain, and clouds with reflection of sunlight. ( still white in sunsets )
with creating ocean you can add waves on the beach and sculpting terrain it will be a superiority in d5 render
