I reported the problem twice some months ago. Unfortunately, the rectangular light still doesn’t work properly. The reflection of the light is visible through objects. This is clearly a bug.
You can see it in the pictures below. I placed rectangular lights behind the windows. The reflection in the areas marked in red should not be visible.
Can you please fix this?
I apologise for any inconvenience. Can you please send me a link to the previous report that you have made regarding this issue? Additionally, please provide us with an image where these rectangular lights are disabled so we can see how it should look like.
If it is possible, you may also send us this specific D5 Render File for us to further test and see other possible causes and solutions. You may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled Clov-Forum Rectangular Light Bug. Thank you.
Here is the image without the light sources behind the windows. Of course, there is no longer any reflection of these on the floor.
If you turn the light back on, the reflection is calculated incorrectly. The plant pots and walls should cover the reflections. But they don’t.
I built a simple scene from the basic models (second picture). A plane and 2 cubes as walls. Behind that, a rectangular light. As you can see, the walls do not cover the reflection of the light source on the floor. And that is not correct.
Thanks for the detailed information that you have provided. We have successfully replicated this issue and have reported it further to my team. If there are any updates, I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Our team is diligently working on optimizing the reflection issue. For now, the current workaround is to adjust the rectangular lightsource to be the same size as the opening. Thank you.
