The whole idea here is to optimize the time needed to prepare the model in D5.
If we are able to connect the objects in the architectural platform (ex. Archicad) with objects in D5 that means that when you move/rotate/copy/delete an object in your model this object will act the same in D5. Which means you don’t have to manually start altering the object in D5 also.
The trick here is to be able to adjust the moving point/scale/axis of the object in archicad with the object in D5 so the adjustements will be correct (for example move a sofa next to the wall.
This setting procedure will be needed only once for the first model. Then the proxy connection will take the rest.
Take for example a model in Archicad in which you have 50 chairs. That means that you have to place 50 chairs in D5 (we use simple chairs in Archicad to produce the drawings, not complcated models)
If this chair had a proxy connection that means that automatically 49 chairs will be placed in the right position in D5.
If you decide to alter the position in Archicad the automatically the chairs will be updated in D5. If you decide to alter the proxy chair, automatically the chairs will be updated in D5
Everything will become automatic and minimize the errors.
This is going to be a game changer
I cannot describe it more simple on the basis of optimizing the workflow.
