hello so would you suggest GI 3 REF 3 SPP 128 if a higher quality image is required?
It’s difficult to decide this for someone else, but personally, I think the additional rendering time doesn’t quite justify the slight increase in quality at the moment. Differences only become clearly noticeable when zooming in closely.
Below, I’ve included the same images rendered with three different SPP settings: 64, 128, and 256. With an SPP of 256, rendering a single image quickly takes about half an hour to 45 minutes using an RTX 3090. You can download these images and overlay them in Photoshop to better highlight the differences, which are most visible around the power outlets, lighting, and reflections.
The difference between using Path Tracing or not seems small at first glance, but personally, I find it significant enough to adopt Path Tracing as my default setting. I’m willing to accept the extra rendering time for the improvement it provides. However, for now, I will stick with SPP 64.
