Option to Remove Puddles or Shadows from Selected Surfaces or Objects

It would be extremely helpful to have the ability to disable puddles on selected surfaces—especially roofs—as they can often appear unrealistic or out of place. Currently, the only workaround I found is to place a plane over the surface, which removes the puddles but introduces unwanted shadows. Using a transparent (glass) plane helps minimize visibility, but the edges can still be distracting. I’ve tried placing the plane higher up and out of view but I found that if I place it to high the puddles appear on the roof again.

Additionally, it would be valuable to have the option to disable shadow casting on selected objects. Primarily the planes in this case.

Having built-in options to remove puddles and control shadow casting per object would eliminate the need for clunky or imperfect workarounds.
