New plant models and growth forms

Hi there!

I am a garden architect in the Netherlands and in many gardens we use different types hedges. In D5 there are a few species, but here we use also some other species. We also use these species as cloud planting.

Would it be possible to make a tool especially for this? It would reduce the file size quite much, because now I have to use maybe hundreds of plant models to create such a cloud of plants.

I will send a photo of a cloud planting and some pictures of special shaped trees we also use, beneath.

Can you add some plant spieces as hedge (and maybe as cloud planting), such as:

  • Prunus lusitanica ‘Rotundifolia’
  • Prunus lusitacica ‘Angustifolia’
  • Ilex crenata ‘Caroline Upright’
  • Fagus sylvatica
  • Taxus baccata
  • Rhododendron (‘Nova Zembla’, ‘Cunningsham’s White’, Catawbiense Grandiflorum’)

We also use a lot of espaliered trees and pleached trees where the crown starts around 2 meters. Now I create them by using the dragon post and a vine on top, but it is much more realistic if there is a model for this. The species we have for this in my region are:

  • Liquidambar styraciflua (espalier and pleached tree)
  • Platanus x hispanica (espalier and pleached tree)
  • Quercus ilex (espalier tree)
  • Morus alba ‘Fruitless’ (pleached tree)
  • Fagus sylvatica (espalier tree)
  • Photinia fraseri ‘Red Robin’ (espalier tree)

We also use Carpinus betulus, clear stem tot 2 meters, with a tightly clipped block-shaped crown (1.2m x 1.2m). Would it be possible to add these models:

  • Carpinus betulus (tree with a cubed canopy and a tree with a cylindical canopy)

If you can add these plants it will help a lot for european users!
If there are some questions, just let me know;)
