Masks and drawing distance of the snow cover overlap

Greetings, D5 team!

In order to make tracks from wheels in the snow, you have to resort to tricks. But unfortunately, they don’t always work correctly.

The method consists in creating a transparent object on top of the snow so that it masks the snow.

But the problem with this method is that when the camera moves away, the tracks disappear.

I suggest adding some functionality.

  1. the range of drawing snow cover masking. The same function applies to the range of drawing grass.
  2. Invisible material that will mask the snow and create footprints.
  3. A function that will exclude the object\material from the list that will be affected by snow. (for example, cars that don’t move and won’t have snow on them)
  4. A function that will allow objects not to mask the snow (for example, cars that are standing but there will be snow under them.
  5. Blurring and enlarging the border of the mask.

It would also be cool if you could draw footprints in the snow with a brush, and it would also be great if you could draw snowdrifts in certain places. For example, on the sidewalk, when you apply the brush, a certain amount of snow will be created.
