I am writing to you today to discuss a few features that would be beneficial additions to the D5 software. I made the subscription and tried the AI generation and the resut was not good enough. I also tried the VR feature, it didn’t quite work with my HTC Vive but i will keep trying for a better outcome. Overall D5 is among the most easy to use solutions however we need to bring thsi ease to a wider range of professionals.
Here are some features we need to look at, some of them gave been discussed before but yet to be implemented.
-
Video Source: The ability to insert a video source, either a media file that can play on a loop or a live video feed from SRT, NDI, SDI, or an HTML webpage.
-
Chroma Key: The ability to pick and adjust a color from the inserted video or media file with a Chroma effect.
-
3Dconnexion Space Mouse Driver: The integration of a driver for the 3Dconnexion Space Mouse, allowing users to configure and use the mouse with D5.
-
USD File Import and Export: The ability to import and export USD file formats, including the USDZ format, which can be easily loaded into an iPhone folder and rendered with real-time tracking.
-
Collaboration with Aximmetry and Vset3D: The ability to collaborate with Aximmetry and Vset3D, allowing D5 files and renders to be easily transferred into their environments.
-
FreeD Tracking: The integration of FreeD Tracking, allowing users to connect tracking devices and cameras to virtual 3D applications, including PTZ cameras and mobile phones with AR capabilities.
-
Integration with 3D Tracking Solutions: The integration with 3D tracking solutions such as Antilatency, Retracker, Intel Realsense, Ds80 and Lightcraft Jetset (ios). SkyglassApp (ios)
-
iPhone Tracking: The ability to track iPhones using either the Lightcraft Jetset or the Aximmetry Eye.
I believe these features would greatly enhance the capabilities of D5 and make it a more versatile and user-friendly tool for 3D broadcast applications. Im particularly optimistic that these features will bring D5 to the fore front of Virtual reality broadcast and movie production to rival the likes of Vizrt and Unreal Engine in terms of ease of use. However these features have stayed a bit too long in the waiting room and if they wont come in now, some of us would like to take a bow at this point and give up on waiting. Every organization mentioned above are willing and ready to provide D5 the needed documentation to make the feature adaptations a reality.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
