I agree - this will be so good to implement in D5. So many project I have to use Ivy on large scale and this will be a big win!

I see this idea is planned.

Here a few species I would love to see:

  • Trachelospermum jasminoides
  • Clematis armandii
  • Wisteria sinensis
  • Wisteria floribunda ‘Alba’
  • Lonicera
  • Hedera Helix
  • Vitis species
  • Rose species

any news on this? I really could use this, would make all my projects look so much better

We still don’t have this function until now, but we think it’s very useful and consider to do it in the future, thank you for the advice.

i tihnk instead of developing this single feature why not make some api to use any blender procedural system to use, not just for models but also for materials.
