Image is washed out

Hi guys,

I’m learning the ins and outs of D5 and it’s wonderful to work with, however I feel no matter what I try to do to set the proper lighting everything is overexposed and changing the lighting settings doesn’t make any difference.
What’s the proper way to light an exterior (also an interior) scene?

Also, I tried DOF in the camera’s options but it doesn’t seem to work.

Thanks in advance for any help or comments that may point me into the right direction.

Reduce sun & sky intensity to your taste…
And learn to experiment the manual exposure too.

Yes, manual exposure and also adjusting the shadow and slope sliders work for me most of the times.

Thanks guys, I’ll start fiddling around with those settings today

No problem buddy
