I made a C4D script. Auto Make Editable + UV

This is my very first Cinema 4D script — I really hope it works properly… fingers crossed!

Auto Make Editable + UV is a script that automates two common (and kind of annoying) steps in Cinema 4D: making objects editable and generating UVW coordinates.
※Just a heads-up — there are some conditions. For example, with Extrude Objects, it only works if:

You don’t include hierarchy

There’s only one spline inside

It was created as a single object

To be honest, I use Cinema 4D in a pretty specific way, so this script might not be useful for everyone

In my workflow — I create architectural renderings in Cinema 4D — I usually leave the material projection on “Cubic” for Extrude Objects.
That way, the texture size from the manufacturer stays accurate, and it’s easier to handle design changes.

This setup works totally fine for rendering inside Cinema 4D.
But when I started using external renderers like D5Render, I realized I had to switch the projection to “UVW Mapping” for materials to display correctly.

Thing is, you can’t just apply UV mapping directly to an Extrude Object — you have to make it editable first.
And doing that manually, especially for lots of objects, is a huge pain.

So… I made this script to take care of that whole process automatically!

I only speak Japanese, so I’ve posted a translation from a translation site. Sorry if this is a strange message.

Hi @design-masiro
