How to make caustics in the bottom of the surface?

Hi, I have a problem. I couldn’t make the caustics reflect in the bottom of a surface, follow all the steps of the D5 video tutorial on Youtube but I can’t get the same result.

Anyone else have the same problem?

The software I use to model is Sketchup. I don’t know if that generates any error in the caustic effect.

Hi mintdesign. I created a test for you to see if I would run into the same problem (with version 2.5) but the result was this. Model made with Sketchup.

Don’t pay attention to the color of the water…it was a very quick test

The problem I pose to the forum is another: why can’t I see what’s out of the water if I’m immersed in a swimming pool? I have put a tree and a couple of houses but from inside the pool I can only see the dark water and nothing else. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

I already got it, I needed more light that was the problem.

Ok perfect.

Hi mate, Actually the development of the bottom water performance is relatively slow because the view from this perspective is not widely used.

Considering the caustics are released and the water performs better than before, this view is also very interesting. Thank you for your mention, we will improve it asap.
