I Am still loving my time with d5. I am working on some garden renders at the moment, Which I have attached. I really like the new fill option for grass but I find that the smallest grass setting of the smallest grass type is still too long for a garden lawn. I also find that the smallest eraser size is also too large for tidying up lawn edges and cutting out stepping stones.
I also think it would be handy to be able to select the painted vegetation in the scene list even if it is just so that it can be switched on and off to help performance.

I actually sunk the ground plane by a few centimetres to compensate for the extra height

I agree. The grass needs more options to fine-tune it. I think that grass is incredibly important for a realistic scene. It’s not good if it takes a long time every time to get right.,
