Previously i’m using GTX 1060 4GB. Although the rendering for 1 image took about more than 1hr. But still can running it.
Now, i’ve upgrade the GPU to 3080ti with 12GB…the problem is…my memory almost full?
The model almost about the same. Just add on some trees.
I’m a lumion user previously, when this kind of thing happen… basically we just split the sketchup files.
For example : 1 Hi Rise development with 3 blocks apartment & carpark multi storey. We just split each block. So total 4 files. Then import on the lumion. The memory issue solved.
Its like merging as we have it in D5. Although i’m not trying the merging method, but i did try to do same as what I’ve done in lumion. But no luck.
I’ve done much bigger 3d model in Lumion, the method works fine although only with GTX 1060.
Hello,
sorry to hear that you ran into the problem. Could you try opening the demo scene of D5 then check the result? Also, please run D5 benchmark tool then show us the result: D5 Render
Besides, the Windows resources manager may be not accurate, you can try monitoring the VRAM with GPU-Z.
If the problem persists, and it happens to a specific file only, then we may need to check your file for further troubleshooting.
To confirm, your video driver is downloaded from Nvidia official?
Hi, how’s the rendering going recently? It can render normal images, right?
From the benchmark results and GPU-z, we think the GPU works as normal, but you may need to make sure the power supply is large enough.
The orginal file indeed is quite heavy (13Go of assets), I try to make a file where I can preview all trees. When I start rendering, it fails at the end.
Just having the scene open, im at 90% memory usage…
Maybe there is a “proxy” way to do this I’m not aware…
EDIT
I tested with a more modest scene. I put only 70 low poly vegetation assets (all different).
4k rendering
here is my performances.
Still 50% of memory used … this is huge no ? for a basic scene
I just want to clarify that generally, different CPUs have little effect on D5. However, it is recommended to turn off CPU overclocking for stable performance.
D5 is heavily reliant on the GPU of your device; hence, the load is mostly carried by your GPU. The CPU will just initiate the software, loads its assets (models, textures, etc.) from storage, and manage the overall application logic. You may want to check if there are other application that is opened that may have contributed to the spike of your CPU usage.
Based on the image you have provided, your GPU’s reaction seems normal with the file you just opened.
Just want to know, the GPU doesn’t seem that overloaded … (15% used here). But the memory is almost full. Is that the issue? We are talking about my PC memory right, not my graphic gard memory ?
And finally, is there anything I can do to lower that stress on Memory ? Empty cach or somthing ? Or just upgrade memory space and speed?
