Geometries or models visible or not

Hi,
Geometries and models visible or not visible in the viewport, and rendering.
Example tree. To have better handling in the viewport,
I could switch off the branches and twigs or the whole tree. They may or may not be visible in the viewport but in rendering. I decide.
You could also do that with groups.
Therefore an object manager with settings would be good, where I can turn on or off.

Hi, for now, we can use this button or Ctrl+H, to show/hide objects, but cannot automatically unhide them in rendering. We will optimize the LOD in 2.0.

What you mean is for the whole model.
I do have a lot of Maxtrees. There should be some way for better handling in viewport.
Are the copies in D5 proxies?
There is no need, showing the whole geometrie.
Another type (simple model) could be a solution. For instance a box, wired or semi transparent.

Highpoly coould be a problem.

Yes you are right, we will provide some low poly trees to improve the smoothness.


About proxy feature, I am not sure when it can be developed, we may increase the scene capacity directly.
